Welcome to Seher!

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Seher iOS app and our website seherr.com collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a user ID. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the email address (or Apple private relay address) Apple shares with us.

Content You Create

To make the app work, we store the content you add to Seher:

  • Tasks and task completions
  • Journal entries and moods
  • Chat messages with Tomo, including photos you attach
  • Study sessions and progress
  • Your companion's progress and in-app items
  • Feedback suggestions you post and the votes you cast

Purchases

Seher Plus subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. We receive the subscription product, its expiration date, and Apple's transaction ID so we can unlock Plus features for your account.

Usage and Diagnostics

We collect information about how the app is used, such as which features you open, app launches, and screen interactions, linked to your user ID. This includes session recordings of the app's interface in which all text you type and all images are masked. We also collect crash reports and performance data, which are not linked to your identity.

Website

When you visit seherr.com, we collect basic analytics such as pages viewed, browser type, device information, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the app, sync your data across devices, and keep your account secure
  • To generate Tomo's replies, study help, and mood and productivity insights
  • To verify your Seher Plus subscription and apply free-tier limits
  • To understand how features are used and improve them
  • To detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and other technical issues
  • To respond to your feedback and support requests

AI Features

When you chat with Tomo, use Study mode, or request insights, the relevant messages, photos, and context (such as your recent tasks and moods) are sent to OpenAI to generate a response. Under OpenAI's API terms, this data is not used to train their models. AI responses can be inaccurate and are not medical, mental health, or professional advice.

Third-Party Services

We share information only with service providers that help us run Seher:

  • Supabase: account authentication, database, and backend functions
  • OpenAI: generating AI responses, as described above
  • PostHog: product analytics and masked session recordings (app and website)
  • Google Firebase Crashlytics: crash reporting and performance data
  • Apple: Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and Seher.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings > Account. This deletes your account and the content associated with it from our systems. Analytics and crash data held by our providers is kept according to their retention periods. You can also email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.

Data Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted to your account. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

Seher is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
